Network for Research in Faith and Health

April 3, 2008

From having been a relatively overlooked topic in the Danish health care research, we now see an increasing focus on the exploration of the relationship between faith and health. In March 2007 a network for research in faith and health was establihed in Denmark to encourage this development. This side presents the work done by the network and is meant to function as an interactive IT-platform for the members of the network.

The research within this field has in Denmark occurred relatively scattered and isolated, with no significant scientific exchange and synergy between the researchers and institutions involved. One of the primary purposes is to defeat this deficiency. The researchers in the network are from different academic disciplines and will co-operate with colleagues abroad to ensure synergy through exchange of experiences from the international research. The network is realised through grants from The Danish Council for Independent Research (Forskningsrådet for Kultur og Kommunikation (FKK)), University of Copenhagen’s research priority area Religion in the 21st century and the Committee for Research in Alternative Cancer Treatment (Udvalget vedr. Forskning i Alternativ Kræftbehandling (UFAK)) from the Danish Cancer Society.

The purpose of this IT platform is support this research cooperation and inform about the works done by the network and researchers within the field.

We hope you will find the informations you are looking for.
